The Olympics 08.08.08 www.bbc.co.uk BBC Sport’s marketing campaign and titles for the forthcoming Olympic Games are based upon the traditional Chinese folklore ‘Journey to the West’. The animation and music were specially produced by Jamie Hewlett and Damon Albarn.
e.g. soccer started on August 6th, and the opening ceremony was on last night on August 8th. Gymnastics and swimming started immediately after, so the gymnasts and swimmers couldn’t participate in the parade of nations. Isn’t the opening ceremony the first thing at the Olympics?
Couldn’t they just extend the games a couple extra days instead of having them start before the opening ceremony? Or have the opening ceremony on the 5th, a day BEFORE any events start, so that they could finish two days earlier. The Olympics could still be 17 days long, but they could wait until the next day after the opening ceremony to start the events. Beijing is 12 hours ahead of New York time, so they’re doing a lot of events at like, 4am their time.

So the question is what is a Olympic sport that you just watched and you have loved it? See this year is my first time watching the whole OG. And the sport that I really thought was a sissy sport is not a sport that is very good to me and that is Gymnastics.
Btw! There are no more Gymnastics thing for Shawn Johnson right?
