I’m so sick of people saying “dumb Americans” we really aren’t that stupid you only focus on the idiots, guess what EVERY COUNTRY HAS THEM! Americans are just more verbal about it unfortunately, by calling us dumb americans thats just going to make them be more closed minded, you really aren’t doing any good at all.

I Heard that the 2016 Olympic games are actually in Brazil.
(I’m serious, Brazil never hosted the Olympic games since then)

im from milwaukee, i’ve been to rio, madrid and toyko. if i must explain…..toyko is way too crouded and the traffic was horrendous. the people in madrid were all assholes and rio has the worst ghettos in the world. C’mon the police are too scared to go there!

@PuRPLENEMESiiS – DUDE! I am an American living in Perth. I knew Rio would win the rights to the games, as they should have, when The Lord Most High Prophet Obama, Czar of the World went to Copenhagen to “talk” with the IOC.

To RIO- Best of Luck with the 2016 games. BTW- My vote for 2020 is Cape Town. It is time the Olympics go to Africia!

i felt Tokyo had a stronger bid but i think with the selection of South Africa for the world cup the world was putting a lot of pressure on the IOC to pick a city that was part of a developing nation. Hopefully Rio can fix it’s rampant crime in the shantytowns (unlikely) or find a way to minimize it’s impact on the games without resorting to heavy protection. Good luck and congratulations Rio.
